George – sibling to Annabel’s and Harry’s Bar in London – has recently reopened its doors after an extensive renovation. Among the many awe-inspiring features of this iconic member’s club are the canine sculptures that adorn its interior and exterior. As the artist behind these creations, I am thrilled to share with you some images and insights.

A Stairwell Marvel: The Majestic Dachshund Mural

One of the highlights of the revamped George Club is the grand stairwell, where a captivating mural of a dachshund takes center stage. This piece, cast in bronze and thoughtfully patinated to harmonize with the club's interior palette, spans an impressive size of 5 x 3 meters and weighs a substantial 1.5 tons. The dachshund's commanding presence, dominating the stairwell, adds a touch of whimsy and elegance to the space, inviting members and visitors into a world where art and sophistication intertwine seamlessly.

Guardians of the Entrance: The Alsatian Dog Sculptures

As you enter George Club, you are greeted by the striking presence of two Alsatian dog sculptures, which stand as faithful guardians at the entrance. These meticulously crafted works of art capture the strength and grace of these noble animals, setting the tone for the refined experience that awaits within.

Delightful Dachshund Reliefs: Artistic Accents

Inside the club, art enthusiasts will discover additional dachshund sculptures adorning the main entrance and also gracing the planters outside. These relief sculptures add a touch of playfulness and charm to the surroundings, a sense of joy and celebration of canine culture. Each detail has been meticulously considered, ensuring that these art pieces seamlessly blend into the club's sophisticated ambiance while providing a delightful surprise for those who encounter them.

The reopening of George Club Mayfair marks an exciting chapter in the club's rich history, and the inclusion of these magnificent canine sculptures adds a touch of artistry and wonder to the overall experience. As an artist, I am honored to have contributed to this grand revival, and I hope that these sculptures will bring joy, inspiration, and appreciation for the beauty and grace of dogs.
